Children’s Literacy Enrichment

Literacy Inc. (LINC) builds neighborhood networks to support young readers by partnering with families, educators and community stakeholders to surround children with books and fun, skill-building reading opportunities. LINC partners with the Brooklyn Public Library to offer literacy celebrations to elementary school children and their families.

Parent Engagement

Learning Leaders recruits, trains, and supports family and community members to become effective school volunteers. Monthly parent workshops are offered at PS 40 and PS 48 to increase parents’ knowledge, skills and confidence in supporting their children’s success in school. Learning Leaders parent engagement programs are proven to contribute to student achievement by enhancing schools’ learning environments, providing additional resources to schools, and increasing parents’ ability to support their children’s education.

Literacy Inc.
